These two containers were converted as part of the Cannon Hall North Range Building Refurbishment in Barnsley. The project was to convert the derelict Georgian buildings there into a training centre for young people to learn about horticulture, pottery and the arts.
Part of the project was to supply and install two shipping containers on the site to provide Museums Services with additional space to be used as a workshop for the storage and repair of park furniture, tools and machinery. The living roof, along with the wood cladding, is a great addition to any container kept in a green space, as it blends in and enhances the natural surroundings and their eco-system.
