CPL are the first to release the Cherry Picker mounted on the all new Isuzu D-Max. Isuzu awarded CPL with Platinum customer status in 2019 and CPL were the first approved converters for the vehicle manufacturers.
We are also the first to be awarded full small series type approval on the conversion with the 3.5t suspension upgrade and all terrain tyres.
The final design of this new model sees mainly aesthetical changes to an already proven design along with improved boom docking and frontal support and in cab controls. The boom itself is the same leading design that was mounted on the previous D-Max. This features a 13.1m Working height and a 6.2m Working Outreach. The Safe Working Load remains at the forefront of the market with a whopping 240kgs, and during operation the knuckle remains firmly within the confines of the vehicle envelope.

The Isuzu D-Max pick-up itself retains all of the existing qualities from the old model D-Max, plus it’s setting new standards in safety by adding even more features, including a high level of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS).
Standard on all models is Cruise control, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, manual and intelligent speed limiter, autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning and prevention system. Further added are the Automatic headlights & High beam assist and the new Dmax utility also keeps the Hill Start and Hill Descent control system.
The CPL Cherry Picker on a 4×4 pick up is especially popular within a number of sectors. These include: Utilities, Telecoms and Arborists.
Towing capacity and hauling
ISUZU first introduced a towing capacity of 2500 kg (4×2), 3500 kg* (4×4). The first gear of the manual transmission is designed to be very short to start without difficulty under all load conditions, even on the steepest slopes.
The TSC function allows you to tow a trailer safely even at high cruising speeds, by automatically acting on your D-Max’s braking system to reduce oscillations caused by an external force on the trailer (such as a side wind gust, for example).
Driving comfort
The cabin, chassis, and suspension structure have been revised. The cabin is constructed with high-strength steel in structural elements, combining lightness and strength.
The chassis features an additional crossmember to increase safety in the event of a side collision and an increase in the size of the rails; the chassis’ torsional rigidity benefits from a 20% increase.
The cabin mounts are of a new type (shear) and guarantee a significant improvement in driving comfort; vibrations and road roughness are optimally dampened.
The overall soundproofing characteristics of the cabin (from external noise and aerodynamic rustling) have been improved thanks also to new internal seals on the doors, on the central pillar, and through the use of new insulation materials.
