Vast and Unrivalled
Experience
All of our machines are available self-drive or complete with an experienced CPCS qualified operator. Our fleet includes over 300 machines, all under three years old and ranging from 1 ton to 40 ton excavators, Rubber Ducks, LGP Dump trucks, Telehandlers, Rollers and Backhoe loaders.
Our fleet of machines can be supplied with a varied range of attachments including hydraulic breakers, Engcon Tilt Rotators, log and selector grabs, clamshell buckets and compactor plates.
All machines in the Blackwood Plant Hire fleet are supplied with a delivery pack which includes relevant certificates for the machine. If the machine is operated we include all operator training certificates.
Digital Innovation
Throughout the years we have changed our fleet from JCB towards Komatsu, Cat & Kobelco machines.
These all have different ways of operating certain functions on the machine; this causes slow production whilst the operator familiarises themselves with the new functions. Another issue we find is that, although we send a machine pack out with every hire, the certificates often get misplaced or they are required to be emailed to site. Again this sometimes slows production as no lifts etc can be done until this information is available.
An individual QR Code is applied on each machine and scanning the QR Code using the camera on any smart phone, will direct the operator to a unique part of the Blackwood Plant Hire website.
The operator will then have the option to watch a short tutorial video or download and view certificates.
