This used Mercedes Benz Tourismo is a 2015 (65-plate) Tourismo M – the medium-length model in the range – configured with 57 TSE reclining seats. It was first registered on 22 September 2015, is MOT’d until 31 August 2025, and was showing 382,945 kms when last checked in August 2024. The cherished registration will be retained by the current owner, so a new plate will be assigned.
The engine is the Mercedes-Benz OM470 – a 10.7-litre inline-six turbodiesel producing 422 bhp and up to 2,100 Nm of torque. It’s the same engine platform you’ll find across the Actros and Setra ranges, so parts availability and workshop knowledge across the UK are excellent. Euro 6 compliant, it runs Mercedes’ BlueTEC exhaust aftertreatment with SCR and a regenerable particulate filter. The DPF on the OM470 doesn’t need its first change until 360,000 kms, and then every 240,000 kms after that – so this one’s either just had it done or is due shortly, worth confirming with the seller.
The gearbox is the Mercedes GO 250-8 PowerShift – an eight-speed fully automated unit that was designed specifically for bus and coach work. It shifts smoothly, takes a lot of strain off the driver on long motorway runs, and is well-proven across the UK coach fleet.
Passenger Comfort & Interior Spec
The 57 TSE seats are reclining with three-point seatbelts, leather headrest inserts, sideways movement, and fold-down trays on the seat backs. There’s also a courier seat up front. The interior has wood-effect flooring, full air conditioning, and a fridge. It’s wired for DVD with two monitors fitted and pre-wired for CCTV, so adding a full camera system is straightforward if you need it. A reverse camera is already in place.
Access is via a power-operated centre continental door, and luggage capacity underneath is described as large – which on a Tourismo M typically means two good-sized holds running most of the length of the coach.
Why This Used Mercedes Benz Tourismo Is Worth Considering
The Tourismo has been the go-to touring coach across Europe for years, and for good reason. Mercedes build quality, strong residual values, and a service network that covers pretty much every corner of the UK make it a safe bet for operators. The Tourismo M sits in the sweet spot of the range – long enough for proper touring work with good luggage capacity, but not as unwieldy as the full-length Tourismo on tighter routes or in city centres.
At 382,945 kms it’s done decent mileage, but these are built to run well past 1 million kms with proper maintenance, so there’s plenty of life left in it. The fact it’s still in daily use tells you something about the condition.
Priced at £112,950 + VAT. Please note the vehicle is still in service, so mileage at the point of sale will be higher than the figure listed above.
