Ewan Cameron designs homes and buildings that are uniquely responsive to their site and to the people who inhabit them.
For Ewan, architecture is about designing great spaces to be in, that are also seamless on a practical level: making the best of light and views and allowing for flow of movement and ease of use. He works from the principle that sustainable buildings should incorporate elegant and efficient detailing that is built to last.
These are timeless buildings that simply make you feel good.
When we love a place we want to do it justice. Ewan has helped clients throughout Scotland and beyond to realise the unique potential of their site, through a personal design service that is sensitive to financial considerations and opportunities. He is renowned for having delivered a wide spectrum of bespoke homes through design and construction. He is an accredited Passive House designer and works closely with builders and consultants to develop energy efficient and low-carbon homes.

Ewan grew up with a love of Scotland’s west coast, having spent some of his formative years with family on the Isle of Eigg. On graduating he won the Watt Club Medal in Architecture and went on to win international competitions for some of Scotland’s best large architecture practices, working in Glasgow and Edinburgh, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Having led large-scale international projects, Ewan set up his own practice in 2009, out of a desire to engage with clients on a personal level and to convey the delights and benefits that ensue from great design.
Within a decade, the practice built a portfolio of unique homes in Scotland and beyond. ECA’s guest pavilion in Kent was featured in the New York Times in April 2012.
It’s a privilege to help people realise their dream projects: from sketching those first plans and perspectives and seeing clients’ eyes light up, to experiencing their pleasure with the finished result and the long-term enjoyment of these spaces. Ewan
