Our Story
At St Austell Printing Company, our 40 years’ of experience, cutting edge equipment, strong commitment to sustainability and talented, helpful team combine to ensure you get the best results from your investment in print.
The company started as Kwik Print in 1981, a small, high street photocopy shop in St Austell town centre. From these humble beginnings the company has gradually evolved into an outstanding, family-run business that is now recognised as the UK’s most eco-friendly printing company.
In our purpose-built, sustainable factory on St Austell Business Park, we offer a full range of services including digital and litho printing, artwork & design, finishing & bindery, specialist finishing and mailing & fulfilment.
From short-run digital printing with quick turnarounds, to complex long-run projects – we have the expertise and facilities to help with your next project.
Plus, because all the printing and finishing of our core products happens under one roof, here in Cornwall, this guarantees quality, great turnaround times and a level of sustainability that’s hard to match.
Continued Investment
As a progressive, pro-active company, we value the benefits of consistent re-investment, both in facilities and staff.
Recent investments have included: two new Heidelberg B2 litho presses, a Ryobi SRA1 litho press featuring LED-UV Technology, new Konica Minolta and Xerox digital presses, large format print machines, state-of-the-art folding machines, playing card finishing equipment and a full specialist finishing department.
We continue to upgrade our systems and software ensuring that we have the latest pre-press software to support the highest quality pre-flight and colour management systems and continue to develop our print management system to support improved customer
Looking After The Environment
We’re committed to sustainable working practices and to reducing the environmental impact of all our activity.
We are proud to be one of a handful of printers in the UK to be recognised by the World Land Trust as an ‘Official Carbon Balanced Printer‘, which means we offset the full operational carbon footprint of your print. Our ISO14001 Certification recognises the environmental management systems we follow and using stock approved by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) ensures the paper and card we use is from forests that are managed sustainably.
We built our print factory to be efficient using sustainable materials, have one of Cornwall’s largest roof-based solar panel arrays powering our factory and were awarded an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating – the world’s leading sustainability assessment for buildings.
