This is a new Enphase Envoy for sale – the Envoy-S Standard communication gateway, UK variant, 230V with built-in WiFi. There are 46 units currently in stock for immediate availability. Whether you’re an installer stocking up or a homeowner replacing a faulty gateway, these are ready to ship.
What the Enphase Envoy Does
The Enphase Envoy-S is the communication hub that sits between the microinverters on your roof and Enphase’s cloud-based monitoring platform. Without it, your Enphase solar system still generates power, but you can’t see what it’s doing – no production data, no panel-level monitoring, no fault alerts, and no access to the Enphase App or Enlighten portal. With it, every microinverter in your array reports back through the Envoy, and you get real-time visibility of your system’s performance from anywhere.
The Envoy communicates with your microinverters over the existing AC wiring in your property – no additional data cabling between the roof and the gateway. It then forwards production and performance data to the Enphase Cloud via your internet connection. The Envoy-S Standard provides basic PV production monitoring to within ±5% accuracy, remote software updates for your microinverters, load management capability, and smart grid functionality.
Connectivity
This is the WiFi variant, connecting to your home or site network over 802.11 b/g/n on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. If WiFi isn’t reliable at the installation point, Ethernet and cellular connectivity are also supported as alternatives. There are two USB 2.0 ports on the unit for additional accessories. System configuration is handled through the Enphase Installer Toolkit app, which simplifies commissioning and reduces time on site.
Compatibility
The Envoy-S Standard is compatible with Enphase IQ Series microinverters, IQ Battery storage systems, and legacy M Series microinverters. It’s the gateway you need if you’re installing a new Enphase system, expanding an existing one, or replacing a failed Envoy on a system that’s already in service.
Specification
The unit measures 213 x 126 x 45 mm and weighs 0.34 kg – it’s compact enough to mount inside a consumer unit cupboard, utility room, or next to your distribution board. Power consumption is typically 2.5W, rising to a maximum of 5W. The environmental rating is IP30, so it’s designed for indoor installation – if you’re mounting it outdoors, it needs to go inside a suitable weatherproof enclosure. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 46°C when enclosed, or up to 65°C in open-air indoor installation. The unit runs on 230V at 50 Hz and is UK specified.
