• Container format: confirm bottle/jar/can diameter, height and neck finish. Rotary fillers need change parts (starwheels, guide rails, nozzle adapters) for each container.
• Fill volume and accuracy: specify required fill range (50ml, 500ml, 5L etc.) and tolerance. Match technology to the requirement.
• Production speed: specify target containers per minute. Beware of over-specifying, a slower machine is cheaper, more energy-efficient and often more accurate.
• Hygiene and CIP: food and pharma fillers need CIP capability, sanitary fittings and documented cleaning validation. Check contact materials (316L stainless, PTFE seals).
• Change-over time: if running multiple SKUs, fast change-over is vital. Servo-driven machines with tool-free change parts are quickest.
